The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is the top-ranked electrical department in the country (by QS ranking), and is ranked #47 in the world. The faculty members and students of the department engage in diverse and cutting-edge research areas spanning Communication & Signal Processing, Power Engineering, Integrated Electronics & Circuits, Computer Technology & Machine Learning, and Control & Automation. The department is currently inviting applications for faculty positions at all levels, particularly at the level of assistant professor.
The department seeks new faculty members with a strong research profile and a proven record of publications in leading international venues (a passion for teaching and mentoring is equally important). Both Indian and foreign nationals are welcome to apply. The institute provides several facilities to foreign nationals to help them relocate and work in India. The department strongly encourages applicants from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to apply (as per government norms). Women candidates are also strongly encouraged to apply. Faculty members across a broad spectrum of areas related to Electrical, Electronics, Communication, and Computer Engineering, especially in emerging areas, are sought by the department.
