Dr. Ankit Singhal is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi. He works in power systems, primarily focusing on renewable energy integration into the power grid, distribution systems operations, and control, enabling high penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs) and inverter-based resources (IBRs) into the grid.
Earlier, he did his B.Tech. from IIT Delhi (2009-2013) and earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) under Dr. Venkataramana Ajjarapu at Iowa State University, USA (2013-2018). Before joining IIT Delhi, he worked as Power System Researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Washington, USA (2019 to 2022).
