Dr. Shubham Sundeep received his M.Tech. degree from IIT Delhi in 2017 and his Ph.D. from the University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2022. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at IIT Bhubaneswar and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), USA, where he contributed to gravity energy storage systems. Earlier, he worked as an Engineer at Eaton Corporation on synchronous drive control systems. His doctoral research focused on the impact of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices on electric drives. He is a recipient of several presentation awards, including the IEEE IAS Industrial Drives Committee 2nd Prize Paper Award (2021). His research interests include traction motor design, EMI/EMC in electric drives, high-frequency modeling, condition monitoring and diagnostics, control of electric drives, and mechanical energy storage systems. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing badminton, and exploring diverse cuisines.
